RICARDO: Very large for a townhouse.
JEN: Yeah.
JAY: Yeah.
The size of these homes just lend itself to almost feeling like a single-family home.
It's a little different because when you think of townhomes, you think of straight vertical up and this splits it up a little bit.
JEN: Love that.
RICARDO: Great.
JAY: Then one of the best features in this community is the walking path and you can take it right behind the home and go right to Fairfax City in the center of town in literally two blocks.
RICARDO: So where we were earlier when we saw that great shopping and stuff.
JAY: Oh, yeah.
JEN: Honestly, that feels very unexpected... RICARDO: Yeah.
JEN: Considering how quiet and green this part of the neighborhood is.
JAY: Mm-hmm, so I have a couple of things I want you to think about as you go in here.
Let's call it a scavenger hunt.
RICARDO: Oh, okay.
JAY: Okay, so I want you to look for the laundry area, which is not in an obvious place.
And then look for the panda bear.
RICARDO: The panda bear?
JAY: Yes, but don't feed it.
RICARDO: But what about all this bamboo?
(Jay laughs).
No, I'm kidding.
All right, we'll be on the lookout for a panda bear and the laundry.
JAY: Enjoy the tour, and let's meet back for the game.
JEN: All right, see ya, I'm intrigued.
RICARDO: Me too.
JEN: Oh.
RICARDO: Oh, this isn't what I expected at all.
JEN: No, look at all these doors.
RICARDO: This room here is really drawing my eye.
I think we should check this out.
JEN: All righty.
RICARDO: Oh, they've got it set up.
That's part workout room, part hangout area.
JEN: Yeah.
Office.
RICARDO: There's so much potential in this one room.
(Jen laughs).
Let's see what else is around here.
JEN: Yeah, what do we have here?
Oh, full bath.
RICARDO: Oh, a bathroom.
JEN: Ah!
RICARDO: I think we found one of the items on our scavenger hunt.
JEN: Yay, look at our little panda panda.
Well, this bathroom could maybe use some updates, not the wallpaper, but I think it's a really nice full bath on the lower level, which I appreciate.
RICARDO: It's a good size, too.
JEN: Yeah.
RICARDO: Oh, here, wanna look at this.
JEN: Oh, this is great.
RICARDO: Yeah.
JEN: This is like a perfect in-law suite.
You don't have to go up a single stair.
RICARDO: Mm-hmm.
JEN: Whoa.
RICARDO: Wow.
JEN: Yeah, we gotta go over here first.
RICARDO: Yeah, look at this.
JEN: This is stunning.
RICARDO: Wood-burning fireplace.
JEN: I'm loving the mantle and the crown molding.
RICARDO: The light coming in from these doors and these transom windows really opens up the space too.
JEN: My eye is absolutely drawn out there.
RICARDO: Yeah.
JEN: Wow.
RICARDO: Oh, hey.
JEN: This is pretty.
RICARDO: This is classy but open.
JEN: Yeah.
RICARDO: You've got this wonderful view into the living area, and you've got this wonderful window into that amazing kitchen.
JEN: Yeah, this medallion molding with the chandelier, beautiful.
RICARDO: Mm-hmm.
JEN: The crown molding also just really adds some depth to the room.
But yeah, this is another, like, great entertaining opportunity.
You can interact with the people in the living room.
"Hey, get me something from the kitchen."
And, "Hey, kitchen, I need something from the living room."
(Ricardo laughs).
I just think the flow is actually really nice.
RICARDO: Mm-hmm.
JEN: Well, I think we have got to get into this kitchen.
RICARDO: Yes.
JEN: Yes, I'm dying.
RICARDO: Let's go.
JEN: Oh, wow.
RICARDO: Look at this.
JEN: So bright and airy in here.
I already am in love with it.
RICARDO: Yeah.
JEN: The granite countertops throughout.
Now, the appliances seem super up-to-date.
RICARDO: The oven is actually separate from the stovetop.
JEN: I love that.
RICARDO: Mm-hmm.
And then all this extra storage that you got over here.
JEN: Yeah.
Look at these pull-outs.
RICARDO: Jen, guess what?
I found the other item on the scavenger hunt list.
JEN: No!
RICARDO: The super-secret laundry.
JEN: It really is super-secret.
RICARDO: Yeah, super convenient, no stairs necessary.
JEN: I love it.
Let's see what else we have on this floor.
RICARDO: Okay.
Oh, is this the primary I wonder?
JEN: Oh, primary.
It must be, it's huge.
RICARDO: Yeah, it is huge.
JEN: Wow.
RICARDO: This window spans basically the whole wall on this side.
JEN: Yeah, that is beautiful.
And I love being able to see the backyard.
It's very relaxing.
What do we have back here?
RICARDO: I love this little vanity area.
JEN: And another full bath.
RICARDO: Mm-hmm.
JEN: This is some beautiful wallpaper.
I think it could maybe just use some updating.
RICARDO: Mm-hmm.
JEN: All right, let's continue the tour.
RICARDO: Look at the wallpaper in this bathroom.
JEN: Oh, it's so pretty.
RICARDO: It is.
No pandas but I like butterflies.
JEN: Yeah.
RICARDO: There's another room right here.
JEN: All righty.
RICARDO: Nice.
JEN: Guest bedroom.
RICARDO: Mm-hmm.
JEN: Big closet, love that.
And then we also have kind of the cottage shutter windows.
RICARDO: Oh yeah, those are nice.
JEN: Which I think are so cute.
Well, I think we've reached the end of the tour.
RICARDO: Does that mean that you're ready to play the game?
JEN: No.
RICARDO: Well, then let's go play the game.
JEN: All right, let's go find Jay.
(Ricardo laughs).
JEN: Hey.
JAY: Jen and Ricardo, what did you think of house number two?
RICARDO: I am blown away.
This is considered a townhouse... JAY: Yes.
RICARDO: Because there's so much space in there.
It was so surprising.
The dining room had this sense of intimacy, although it was open to the living room... JAY: Mm-hmm.
RICARDO: And open into the kitchen, you could still have formal dinners.
JAY: It is really smartly designed because, in a beautiful day like today, you can just open up the sliding glass doors.
Then you've got this yard along with a patio too.
JEN: I loved the kitchen.
And then the very special surprise, yeah.
RICARDO: Yes.
JAY: Oh, you found the scavenger hunt item?
BOTH: We did.
RICARDO: You would have never known the washer and dryer is hidden there.
JAY: So what about the wallpaper in this home?
RICARDO: The wallpaper, okay.
All right, the wallpaper.
We found the panda and all his little friends.
(laughter).
But I have to say, the wallpaper in the bathrooms was a lovely touch.
It made each bathroom feel unique.
JAY: Yeah, so this mid-range townhome is four bedrooms, three full baths, 3,000 square feet, and was built in 1981.
JEN: I'm gonna guess 935,000.
JAY: Okay.
RICARDO: Okay, I am gonna go higher.
JAY: Hmm.
RICARDO: I'm gonna guess 999,000.
JEN: Whoa.
RICARDO: Yeah.
JAY: So the list price is $974,888.
RICARDO: Oh, come on.
JEN: Whoo-hoo!
RICARDO: All right, good job.
JEN: Aw, two for my two wins.
RICARDO: That's right.
Congratulations.
JEN: Thank you, thank you.
RICARDO: But I still have one shot to win.
JAY: So let's go take a look at the dream home.
JEN: Please, let's go.
JAY: All right, let's go.
RICARDO: It shall be mine.
